Wireless forum hires consulting CEO

The Software Defined Radio Forum, a nonprofit international industry association for reconfigurable wireless technology, has retained industry veteran Lee Pucker on a two-year contract to provide chief executive officer services in a new consulting position reporting to the forum’s board of directors.

The Software Defined Radio Forum, a nonprofit international industry association for reconfigurable wireless technology, has retained industry veteran Lee Pucker on a two-year contract to provide chief executive officer services in a new consulting position reporting to the forum’s board of directors.

As a consulting CEO, Pucker's primary responsibility will be to drive the development and execution of the forum's strategic plan. He will also help oversee the forum's finances.

Pucker has been chief technology officer and vice president for corporate development at Spectrum Signal Processing, a member of the forum, and is now creating his own firm, ForwardLink Consulting.

Pucker's career spans more than 20 years and also includes engineering positions at Computer Sciences/Nichols Research, the Defense Department and ITT Industries/Stanford Telecom. He is a member of the IEEE Communications Society and the IEEE Standards Association.
