Rising Star 2007

Rising Star nomination form

Please fill in the form below to nominate an individual for a 2007 Rising Star award. Deadline for nominations is Sept. 14, 2007.risingstarlogo

We are using the Federal 100 awards program as a model. Some specifics:

  • The Rising Star awards recognize individuals from both government and industry.
  • These are people who have made a difference in the past 18 months or so.
  • Unlike the Fed 100 awards, the Rising Star program specifically focuses on people in the government IT community who are in “the first third of their career.”

Editorial: Young people, important work

Last year's Rising Stars

Essentially, we are looking for the up-and-coming future leaders – the younger people who made a difference. These are people who have done exemplary work – work that may not risen to the level of the Fed 100 awards yet, but important work nonetheless. Some of the work may not have risen to the level of the Fed 100 awards yet it is important work that deserves to be recognized.

Essentially, these are the people who are the up-and-comers -- the future of government IT.

Again, the awards are eligible to both the public and private sectors.

The winners will be recognized at the Rising Star Awards banquet on Dec. 4 at the JW Marriott in Washington, DC. Click here to learn more.

If you are unsure if the person would qualify, give it a try. The nomination form only takes a few minutes to fill out.

If you have any questions, contact Nichole Blalock at 703-876-5141 or nblalock@1105govinfo.com.

Thanks for your interest in 1105 Government Information Group’s Rising Star awards program.
Nominations for this year have now closed, but the winners will be announced soon.
