The Sweet 16 round of Federal Computer Week’s government-themed movie competition is nearly done, setting the stage for some fierce competitions in the week ahead. As this issue went to press, the first half of the brackets had been settled, for the most part decisively.

“The American President” vs. “Air Force One” was a different matter. From the start, the scores rarely varied by more than a point, so we decided ahead of time that we would make the call April 9 at 3 p.m. When we checked the results, “The American President” had a one-vote lead. “It’s like that last basket at the buzzer,” he said.

Did we mention that the chief is an unabashed fan of Aaron Sorkin, who wrote the movie’s script?
No matter. The competition continues. Cast your votes this week at www.fcw.com/polls
