The stage is set for the next round of competition in FCW’s March (government movie) Madness. The last batch of brackets ended with routs by the “Hunt for Red October” versus “Crimson Tide,” “All the President’s Men” versus “Dick,” “Manchurian Candidate” versus “Citizen Kane” and “The Fugitive” versus “U.S. Marshals.” “Black Hawk Down” edged “Apocalypse Now” and “Wag the Dog” got a leg up on “Primary Colors.”

This week’s brackets will pit “The American President” against “Air Force One,” “JFK” against “In the Line of Fire” and the Jack Ryan movies against “The Hunt for Red October.” Also look for this odd pairing to split along generational lines: “Mr. Smith Goes to Washington” (1939) versus “Enemy of the State” (1998). To cast your vote, go to www.fcw.com/polls.

As always, we send good vibes to Mark Reiter and Richard Sandomir, authors of “The Enlightened Bracketologists: The Final Four of Everything.”
