After its organizational meeting today, the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, chaired by Rep. Henry Waxman (D-Calif.), announced its subcommittee rosters for this Congress.
According to a release from the committee, Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio) will head the Domestic Policy Subcommittee, with Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) as the ranking member.
The subcommittee’s jurisdiction will include domestic policies such as matters relating to energy, labor, education, criminal justice, the economy and the Office of National Drug Control Policy.
Rep. Danny Davis (D-Ill.) will head the Federal Workforce, U.S. Postal Service and the District of Columbia Subcommittee. Rep. Kenny Marchant (R-Texas) will be the ranking member.
The subcommittee has jurisdiction over issues involving federal employees; nonappropriation municipal affairs of Washington, D.C.; and USPS. Holidays and celebrations fall under the panel’s jurisdiction as well.
Rep. Edolphus Towns (D-N.Y.) will head the Government Management, Organization and Procurement Subcommittee. Rep. Brian Bilbray (R-Calif.) will be the ranking member.
The subcommittee will focus on management of government operations, reorganization of the executive branch and federal procurement.
Rep. William Clay (D-Mo.) will head the Information Policy, Census and National Archives Subcommittee, with Rep. Michael Turner (R-Ohio) serving as the ranking member.
The subcommittee’s jurisdiction includes public information and records laws, such as the Freedom of Information Act, the Presidential Records Act and the Federal Advisory Committee Act; the Census Bureau; and the National Archives and Records Administration.
Rep. John Tierney (D-Mass.) will head the National Security and Foreign Affairs Subcommittee, with Rep. Christopher Shays (R-Conn.) as the ranking member.
The subcommittee has jurisdiction of oversight of national security, homeland security and foreign affairs.

Tom Davis (R-Va.), ranking member on the full reform committee. "We look forward to getting to work."
