West Virginia has tapped 22 contractors to pursue information technology projects statewide. The state’s program prequalifies vendors to pursue business in certain categories. Collectively, the contractors offer supplemental staffing services in such areas as electronic document management, Web programming and telephony services. Contractors also provided project based-services, covering fields such as data warehouse development and electronic commerce. The contracts went into effect Sept.1. When a government entity requires technology services, West Virginia Office of Technology issues a statement of work to eligible vendors. Potential users of the contract include state agencies, community colleges, counties, municipalities and public schools, according to the state. The 22 contractors represent a mix of local and national firms. Vendors include Access Systems, A.C. Coy, Advanced Technical Solutions, Arnett and Foster, CDI Professional Services, Ciber, Contact Pointe, Dell Marketing, Dream Catcher, eBridge Consulting, Electronic Data Systems, Fenwick Technologies, Global Science and Technology, Hourly Computer Services, ManTech Enterprise Integration, Maximation, PCC Technology Group, Pomeroy IT Solutions, Strictly Business Computer Systems, SyCom Technologies, TEKsystems and Unisys.
