ManTech International will provide a Web-based collaboration and information sharing portal and an emergency resource registration system for the Homeland Security Department under a contract worth up to $7.1 million. The contract, issued for DHS' Operations Directorate for the U.S. Public Private Partnership (USP3), also calls on the Fairfax, Va.-based integrator to deliver a nationwide alert and warning notification system, and training, operations, maintenance and program management to support all of the systems. The contract has an initial one-year term, and three one-year options. USP3 is an unclassified network that provides the DHS Operations Center with around the clock access to a various industries, agencies and critical infrastructure. It also serves as a two-way conduit for information sharing and a database of locally knowledgeable experts. The USP3 can communicate with nearly 40,000 members now, and DHS plans to expand that to 200,000.
