Tarrazzia Martin, chief information officer of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) branch of the Homeland Security Department, is leaving her post effective May 1. Martin will work with Dale Meyerrose, associate director of national intelligence and chief information officer at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, to help the office improve information sharing in the intelligence community, according to an announcement to USCIS staff yesterday. Martin joined DHS in 2003 as USCIS’ first CIO. This marks the second abrupt departure of a senior information technology official in a government-related organization in less than a week. Amit Yoran resigned last weekend from his position as chief executive officer of In-Q-Tel, the venture capital arm of the CIA.
