Visitors can now receive e-mail alerts on various topics from Español.gov, a Spanish-language version of FirstGov.gov.
The alert system is available on 17 of Español.govs most visited pages. The topics range from employment, immigration and citizenship to health and housing issues, according to a press release.
Providing citizens with the most up-to-date information available on Español.gov is a continuing step in keeping the administrations promise to enhance citizen access to government information, said M.J. Pizzella, associate administrator of the General Services Administrations Office of Citizen Services and Communications. The agency plans to offer subscriptions to more of the sites pages in the future.
OCSC manages Español.gov.
By creating a user profile, subscribers can add, delete or change chosen topics, set up a password-protected profile, change preferences and stop receiving e-mail alerts.
Information on Español.gov is updated as soon as new government information is available in Spanish. Subscribers receive a notice of new information and a link to the page directly from the e-mail.
