John Purvis, formerly a senior vice president of Oracle, has joined Corda Technologies as president and chief executive officer, according to a Corda announcement. Neal Williams, Corda's founder and former CEO, will stay on as chief operating officer and chairman of the board. Corda develops dashboard software, data management products that draw information from multiple systems and present it as a single view. “Corda invents,” Purvis said in a prepared statement. “We have a long history of putting patented and patent-pending data visualization technology into the hands of developers." The company is increasingly able to bring complete solutions to market through alliances and internal sales and services operations, Purvis said. Williams, meanwhile, expects his new role to take greater advantage of his technological expertise. “Data is coming at us faster and faster from more and more sources," Williams said. "Corda lives at the center of the enterprise. We provide eye-popping visualization of data in any form which is pulled securely, in real-time, and from edge to edge across the enterprise." Before joining Corda, Purvis was senior vice president of global sales and marketing in Oracle's support services business. He also has held positions at NCR, Unisys and Silicon Graphics, according to Corda's announcement.
