CACI International has agreed to acquire AlphaInsight, a privately owned information technology services firm in Falls Church, Va.
The smaller AlphaInsight provides software and systems engineering, network engineering, network management services, information assurance and security. The deal is expected to close during CACIs fourth fiscal quarter, which ends in June. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
AlphaInsight employs 360 people, with 94 percent of its billable employees holding clearances, according to CACI. CACI cited AlphaInsights presence in the State Department as one factor that makes it an attractive acquisition target. In January, AlphaInsight announced a $3.2 million contract with States Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations, providing software engineering and support services for the bureaus Building Management Integrated System.
The pending AlphaInsight deal marks CACIs second acquisition move this month. On March 1, the company completed the purchase of Information Systems Support, which offers IT, communications and logistics services.
AlphaInsights contract vehicles include the General Services Administrations Schedule 70 and Mission Oriented Business Integrated Services schedule. Other contracts include the National Institutes of Healths Chief Information Officer Solutions and Partners 2 and the Commerce Departments COMMITS NexGen.
