The LA Times reports that Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has drafted an order that would temporarily reduce the pay of approximately 200,000 state workers to the federal minimum wage of $6.55 an hour.

The pay cut would remain in place until the governor and the state legislature have agreed on a budget, at which point employees would receive the lost wages, according to the Times.
