The Transportation Security Administration has selected a pool of eight companies from which it will award a one-year, $140 million contract for managing employee hiring for the agency. 

TSA has contracts with Accenture and CPS Human Resource Services for such services, but those contracts expire at the end of December.

The eight companies eligible to compete for the Integrated Hiring Operations and Personnel Program (IHOPP) include the incument contract holders, in addition to BearingPoint, Carahsoft Technology and Avue Technologies, General Dynamics, IBM, Lockheed Martin and SRA International. 

“We handle hiring locally for our frontline workforce,” said TSA spokesperson Amy Kudwa. “However, we have contract support for [local areas] and headquarters.” 

Kudwa said TSA intends to make the IHOPP award to a single contractor. The new contract will have four option years worth an estimated $140 million per year.
