The Education Department seeks to develop a system for an integrated partner management system to support enrollment and oversight of schools and lenders in the Federal Student Aid program.

Under Education’s request for proposals, the contractor(s) will streamline, consolidate and integrate services located in multiple legacy systems into the enterprisewide integrated partner management system, which is part of the systems modernization and business process re-engineering for the student-aid program for higher education.

Under the initiative, the department plans to make its data more usable and accessible, increase automation, provide an effective document management system and expanded data capture processes, according to the RFP, which is on FedBizOpps.gov.

The contract will run for three years. Education will award multiple indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contracts. The maximum amount for each contract is $30 million; the minimum is $1,000. An operations and maintenance contract will likely follow the systems development and integration contract.

Proposals are due March 29. Education expects to award the contract in August.
