According to a recent survey by the Telework Exchange, many federal security officers are concerned about employees who are not officially part of any telework program, but who often work from home in the evenings and on the weekends.

The officers are worried that these employees have not received the proper training and equipment to ensure the security of agency data they access from home. (Click here to read the FCW story.) The answer, many survey respondents said, is to require the employees to go through agency telework programs, even though they work from the office during regular business hours.

Would such a policy make sense? Do you share their concerns? Post a comment and let us know what you think.
