With echoes of JFK setting his sights on the moon, GSA Administrator Lurita Doan recently set a goal of having 50 percent of its eligible employees teleworking by 2010 (read the story here). Based on traffic on this blog and elsewhere, it's safe to bet that many feds see little chance of that happening. But put aside your skepticism for a minute and think about this: What issues must GSA address -- whether policies, technologies or management strategies -- to make this feasible? Consider this: The Justice Department's top security official recently said DOJ employees were no longer allowed to use home computers to access agency e-mail (read the story). As part of its march to 2010, should GSA follow suit?
