We're still collecting details on the Lurita Doan saga, and I'll catch up on some of that stuff later today.

* Doan on air...
You can hear Doan for yourself tomorrow (Friday) morning at 7:30 a.m. on Federal News Radio in DC. If you are in certain areas, you can pick it up at 1050AM, or you can listen online at online at federalnewsradio.com. Doan specifically requested two segments, so... you'll get to hear her thoughts about what happened -- and what she believes is next with GSA.
* Doan miffed at CJD...
Apparently Doan is miffed at me for this post -- and specifically, this line:
Why now? One insider tells me that White House officials were just sick and tired of dealing with Doan issues. I have no idea how accurate that is, but it would seem to make sense. (One person told me that, candidly, GSA is a third-tier agency that usually doesn't get much White House attention. Doan has managed to get White House attention for GSA -- but not in the way that the agency might want it.)
One person suggests that Doan had become more hassle then it was worth. The White House apparently wanted to wait long enough so the administration didn't look like it was cow-towing to Waxman or Grassley.
I have highlighted the pertinent part -- the third-tier agency.
* Doan makes the WP front page -- again
Yes, Doan makes the lead story on the front page of the Washington Post this morning under the headline Doan Ends Her Stormy Tenure as GSA Chief. In the end, Robert O'Harrow Jr. and Scott Higham don't really have anything new to add. But I'm willing to bet that Doan has made the front page of the Washington Post more than any other GSA administrator.
* Still seeking Doan's "arrow" photos
Yes, I'm still seeking a photo from Doan's speech down at GSA Expo that I mentioned mentioned Tuesday where the then administrator came decked out with arrows for having survived the slings and arrows of Beltway politics.
Doan's arrows -- I need a photoOK -- who was down at GSA Expo last week? Well, apparently GSA Administrator Lurita Doan showed up at Expo's award ceremony covered in arrows.One person reported that she had arrows all over her body. She even picked up her leg to show an arrow through her knee. The text of the speech even includes stage directions.
