The BBC is reporting that the UK government plans to shut down hundreds of its Web sites, shifting info to two major portals: Directgov (an e-gov site for citizens, like FirstGov) and Business Link (for businesses). Of the British government’s 951 sites (yikes!), only “26 will definitely stay, 551 will definitely close and hundreds more are expected to follow,†the BBC report says.
Here’s the list of sites that closed as of Jan. 11.
