The Library of Congress has redesigned Thomas, the legislative information site -- and itâs about time. It looks like most of the changes were cosmetic (which, sad to say, were needed). There are some enhanced navigation features and different ways to search. Now, for example, users can browse legislation by sponsor and easily search across multiple sessions. Links to other related features in the Library of Congress family (American Memory Collection, for example) are easy to find in the left-hand nav box.
One not-so-new feature I hadnât noticed before is the collection of Webcasts at LOC. There are hundreds of fascinating lectures that would make awesome podcasts. Unfortunately, the Webcasts can only be streamed to your computer and watched with Real Audio.
