Via Techmeme, comes 10 Tips on Maximizing Laptop Battery Performance by Jeremy Toeman of LiveDigitally.com. The author, who frequently travels cross country, finds he runs out of laptop battery before he arrives at his destination. He’s compiled some tips on how to extend the battery life based on his own tweaking and experimentation. Some tips are obvious, some not so obvious. He suggests, for example, turning down the brightness, choosing fewer colors and working with one program at a time. If you can get an extra 30 minutes out of your battery, it’s worth it.
