ClearanceJobs.com has the latest scoop on pay rates of people with security clearances. It’s not much of a surprise to learn that job candidates with security clearances get more money than “their equivalent uncleared counterparts.†But I didn’t realize the difference was so great, especially in the IT industry. “Based on survey results of the top 20 highest-paid industries for security-cleared candidates, cleared candidates earn an average of $17,367 (or 20 percent) more per year than noncleared candidates in the same industry.â€
The results of the survey of 2,175 job seekers with active clearances are listed several ways, including by location, gender, job title and industry.
