This story was updated to correct that Sen. Norm Coleman (R-Minn.) said, in a press release, “Simply put, DTS does not work and has proven to be a waste of taxpayer dollars. This bill will right this wrong by eliminating the travel planning component.â€
An earlier version of the article attributed the second sentence to Sen. Tom Coburn (R-Okla.), who co-sponsored the measure to do away with the travel portion of the Defense Travel System.
