Mary Lamb has joined Suss Consulting as the company's first chief operating officer, the company announced Aug. 30.

As COO, Lamb will focus on three areas: building Suss' core consulting services for corporate clients, expanding the company's government consulting practice and establishing more formal ethics processes, said Warren Suss, the company's president and chief executive officer.

Lamb has more than 24 years of business and leadership experience. Most recently, she was senior vice president of the EDS DOD and Civilian Healthcare portfolio and managed more than 1,200 people who provided information technology solutions to federal health care clients. Her experience in program management and leadership at EDS also included the Education, State and Energy departments; the General Services Administration; and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Before joining EDS, Lamb was director of civilian markets at GTE Government Systems Corp. Previously, she was business development manager at GTE headquarters and director of government marketing and communications at the Electronic Industries Association.
