Ciena has appointed Richard Kent to its Government Advisory Board, the company announced May 1.
Kent joins other senior-level executives and former government officials on the board, which provides guidance to Ciena on strategically aligning its solutions and services to better serve the unique requirements of the government marketplace.
Kent is chief executive officer of Fedforce, a consulting firm specializing in sales and marketing to the federal marketplace. He has more than 25 years of experience at high-tech firms. At Fore Systems/Marconi, he was president of the federal operations unit and executive vice president of the Americas group.
