IT public relations firm names new execs

Welz and Weisel Communications, a strategic public relations firm that creates campaigns for information technology companies, announced Aug. 20 the addition of Jennifer Aleknavage as director and Suzanne Linville as account executive.

Aleknavage will play an integral role in account management, strategic planning and business development. In her new role, she will be responsible for a variety of tasks such as media relations and strategic counsel while providing general account support.

Aleknavage has 13 years' experience in public relations. She was a communications manager at LexisNexis and led the internal and external communications strategies for the U.S. corporate markets, including support for global product launches.

Prior to joining Welz and Weisel, Linville worked at 104 West Partners, in Denver, supporting startup technology companies in the Denver and Seattle markets. Before that, she worked at Weber Shandwick Worldwide, Credit Suisse, Cyota (now part of RSA Security) and MRM Worldwide.
