A day after the tax-filing deadline, Mark Everson, the Internal Revenue Service's commissioner, announced that he will leave the agency to lead the American Red Cross.
The American Red Cross Board of Governors unanimously approved Everson to serve as its president and chief executive officer starting May 29, according to a press release the organization issued today.
