Tony Ogden has been appointed inspector general at the Government Printing Office, acting Public Printer William Turri announced today.
Ogden has been acting inspector general since October 2006. The Office of the Inspector General (OIG) acts independently and objectively to keep the public printer and Congress fully informed about problems and deficiencies relating to the administration and operation of GPO.
Ogden has worked in OIG for more than three years. Before being named acting inspector general, he was deputy inspector general and the senior legal and policy adviser to OIG.
Before joining GPO, Ogden was the litigation and compliance counsel for the Tobacco Project at the National Association of Attorneys General. Ogden is a former assistant attorney general for Colorado. He has also worked as an attorney in private practice, focusing primarily on civil litigation and workers' compensation matters.
