Last week, Apptis named William Sieglein senior director of the company’s commercial division, which is responsible for growing its professional service offerings in information technology risk management.
Sieglein brings more than 25 years of experience in information security, assurance, risk and compliance management to his new role. Before joining Apptis, Sieglein was chief security officer at the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board and has been an information security consultant to public and private clients for decades. Sieglein began his career in the U.S. intelligence community as a civilian employee and a consultant.
In 2002, Sieglein co-authored a book titled "Security Planning and Disaster Recovery." His second book on the topic of IT security management will be released later this year.
