After more than 10 years with ADI Technology and then with Perot Systems, Jim Ballard has decided to step down as president of Perot Systems Government Services to pursue new career opportunities in the marketplace.

Ballard will remain at Perot Systems for about a month.

Eugene "Lee" Carrick has been appointed to succeed Ballard. Carrick most recently was executive vice president for national security at Perot Systems.

Carrick has more than 26 years of experience in the intelligence, defense and civilian markets. Before joining Perot Systems, he directed a $480 million federal information technology division at Northrop Grumman. He also led programs related to defense systems acquisition, NASA and military space operations, and intelligence mission support in the Air Force.
