Regarding “Demand for hybrid driver's licenses high in Washington”: Most Washington state residents do NOT want this extreme perversion of privacy. Why don't we enforce the laws already in place, secure our borders for a change, and quit stripping Americans of their privacy and civil liberties in the name of the “war on terror”?
If the "terrorists" do attack us because they hate our "freedoms," then I'd say they're winning because we're destroying these freedoms ourselves.
