Regarding, DOD civilian workers to get performance paychecks tomorrow, a reader writes: I know as a government employee our agency is giving out the average 5.4 percent raise that is mentioned in the article. It is less than 4 percent. I feel the new system still has a few bugs to be ironed out. The NSPS electronic system was user friendly. If the average salary increase for a person having a 3 [rating] is 5.4 percent then why are some agencies giving their employees a lot less. I know my raise would have been higher if I had stayed on the old GS pay scale. Under the new NSPS I am losing out.
