Regarding “USPS consolidates HR systems”: What difference does it make if the U.S. Postal Service has a new and improved human resources system if -- for the most part -- the agency does not hire new career carriers and clerks, does not allow them to transfer as regular career carriers and clerks, and often does not allow them to transfer into other positions within the postal system?
It is not a "united" system at all, and it does its best to dishearten, discourage and eliminate loyal, conscientious, hardworking, long-term employees. It is yet another money-wasting venture for the "service,” a way to trick corporate America into thinking that USPS cares.
It would be better to listen to the people who are hands-on, at the forefront of USPS -- the carriers and clerks – and, most assuredly, their patrons.
