Regarding “OMB to limit number of Internet connections for agencies,” is it just me or did I read this all wrong? Two months to reconfigure the entire executive branch’s wireless-area network structure and seven months to implement it?

I work for a Commerce Department agency that has many small locations across the country, and I just completed a new contract for Internet service. I'm sure I'm not the only one wondering how I'm going to cancel the contract and where I'll have to get transport to, how much it will cost and whether I can even get a Networx contract in my remote location (they were not available two months ago). I can imagine they'll tell me to get transport nationwide to Washington , affordable or not, and the 120 people here will end up paying for it.

This deadline-then-plan directive is completely insane.
