The Army has awarded six contracts for its Information Technology Enterprise Solutions 2 Hardware (ITES-2H) contract, valued at $5 billion over three years, with two one-year option periods.

The recipients of the contracts include four large businesses — Apptis, CDW Government, Dell Federal Systems and IBM — and two small ones — GTSI and World Wide Technology.

The Army will use the ITES-2H contracts as the primary source for commercial server and storage network environment products. This includes all IT hardware including servers, workstations, networked personal computers, printers and software. ITES-2H will support the software-centric ITES-2S contracts.

The IT E-Commerce and Commercial Contracting Center and the Army Small Computer Program’s Program Executive Office for Enterprise Information Solutions (PEO-EIS) will award the contracts.

“We are happy with the procurement process and are looking forward to building strong working relationships with the selected vendors,” said Kevin Carroll, program executive officer of the PEO-EIS.
