GSA taps 40-plus firms for VETS deal

The wait is over for 44 companies that received contracts under the General Services Administration’s Veterans Technology Services governmentwide acquisition contract.
The vehicle, known as VETS, has missed deadlines amid bureaucratic and legal obstacles. The procurement started more than a year ago. VETS has a $5 billion ceiling and is reserved for serviced-disabled, veteran-owned contractors.
The GWAC has two functional areas: systems operation and maintenance and information systems engineering. Vendors could bid on either or both areas.
Vendors that received contracts spanning both functional areas include:
- Advanced Systems in Fairfax, Va.
- C Watkins and Associates in Sterling, Va.
- C2-Revolent in Reston, Va.
- Catapult Technology in Bethesda, Md.
- Client Server Software Solutions in Bellevue, Neb.
- DV United in Alexandria, Va.
- Engineering Services Network in Arlington, Va.
- FTDATA in Laurel, Md.
- Global-BSC Systems Joint Venture in Reston, Va.
- Hoffman Technologies in Roseville, Calif.
- Ian, Evan and Alexander in Longmont, Colo.
- Innovative Management Concepts in Dulles, Va.
- Intecon in Centennial, Colo.
- Kingfisher Systems in Arlington, Va.
- KT Consulting in Antioch, Calif.
- Mandex in Fairfax, Va.
- MED Trends in Rockville, Md.
- Metters Industries in McLean, Va.
- Milvets System Technology in Lanham, Md.
- Native American Industrial Distributors in Upper Marlboro, Md.
- Penobscot Bay Media in Camden, Maine.
- Professional Solutions in Alexandria, Va.
- Standard Communications in Hume, Va.
- Systems Made Simple in Syracuse, N.Y.
- Tseva Group in Springfield, Va.
- Veteran Corps of America in Fairfax, Va.

- Veterans Enterprise Technology Solutions in Vienna, Va.
- Vetsamerica Business Consulting in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
- Vision Technologies in Glen Burnie, Md.
- Veteran Enterprise Technology Services in Reston, Va.
Mission Solutions, based in Colorado Springs, Colo., was also selected for both functional areas. But according to a posting on the Federal Business Opportunities Web site, the company’s awards “are only contingent upon being determined to be a small business for this competition by the U.S. Small Business Administration.”
