The Defense Department’s Joint Strike Fighter Program Office has awarded systems integrator Stanley a $63 million prime contract for total information technology and assurance support. The office oversees warfighting capabilities for DOD, designing new aircraft weapon systems for the Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps. Stanley announced the award today. The contract came in the company’s second quarter of fiscal 2007, which ended Sept. 30. Stanley has had a 10-year relationship with the office that began when the office selected the company to establish an initial IT infrastructure. The new contract has four option years and extends through 2010. Stanley will plan, manage and build telecommunications and IT systems at the office’s numerous locations, including Edwards Air Force Base, Calif., and Patuxent River Naval Air Station in Maryland. Stanley will also manage the office’s systems and networks, help-desk support, critical infrastructure protection, and software development.
