DisabilityInfo.gov has earned a Gold Award from the American Association of Webmasters for outstanding design and quality of content for May.

The Web site, run by the Labor Department, contains regularly updated information for people with disabilities on a wide variety of subjects including benefits, civil rights, community life, education, employment, health care, housing, technology and transportation.

“Disability.gov is an excellent resource for individuals, families, employees and caseworkers, offering them easy access to disability-related information,” said Assistant Secretary of Labor Roy Grizzard. Grizzard also heads the Office of Disability Employment Policy, which manages the Web site.

Last year, the Web Managers Advisory Council, a peer group of more than 900 federal, state and local Web managers, gave the Web Content Managers Best Practice Peer Award to Disability.gov.
